Counselor In Training Leadership Program
Become the leader
that others respect
Our exceptional C.I.T.'s are a select group of future leaders.
C.I.T.s meet through out the day for training in several camp areas such as caring for campers, first-aid, water safety, leadership skills, and activity instruction. When not in training, C.I.T.'s select and participate in all camp activities and reside in air-conditioned Villages to assist Counselors and serve as role models.
C.I.T.'s may attend one or two C.I.T. sessions in a single summer but may stay longer if enrolled in another Adventurer Program. It is recommended that first time C.I.T.'s attend one C.I.T. session. After completing three C.I.T. sessions (over two or three summers) the C.I.T. may graduate from the program and may apply to return, the following summer, as a Counselor Assistant the following summer at no cost.
Space is limited to 6 boy and 6 girl C.I.T.'s each session.
The approval of the Camp Director is required for enrollment.
C.I.T.'s are held to the highest of standards and may be moved to another program if the Camp Director feels it necessary.
When not in a C.I.T. training class, they choose from over 40 activities. Every session also includes a Talent Show, Campfires, ColorWarz games, great time with friends, and a day at one of Florida's Theme Parks. With so many choices there is plenty of variety for Campers attending one session or staying all summer.
