Code of Conduct and Camper Safety

Camp Frontier’s approach to camper safety combines clear expectations, active supervision, health support and shared responsibilities for families, Campers and staff. We welcome Campers who are ready for an age-appropriate level of self-control and expect every Camper to treat other Campers and staff with kindness, honesty and respect.

Clear expectations help protect every Camper’s experience.

The Camp for Good Kids

Camp Frontier is designed for children and teens who are generally on track and able to participate safely in a traditional OverNight Camp community. Every Camper is invited to contribute their personality, talents and interests while helping make Camp fun and welcoming for everyone.

Compassion, Guidance and Correction

Everyone has a difficult day sometimes. Staff respond with attention, encouragement, clear direction and compassion. When behavior is disruptive or disrespectful, the goal is to help the Camper understand its effect, make a better choice and return successfully to the Camp community.

Respect Is an Everyday Expectation

Campers are expected to use age-appropriate behavior, speak kindly, respect personal boundaries and property, follow staff directions, remain with their supervised group and make choices that protect the physical and emotional safety of others.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Registrations are final and may be cancelled only if Camp Frontier agrees because of extreme circumstances. Deposits, fees and tuition are not refunded or credited for nonattendance, late arrival, early departure, expulsion for prohibited conduct or possession of prohibited items. If an Infirmary-confirmed illness requires a Camper to go home, prorated tuition is held as a credit for the following summer for the Camper or an immediate family member; if the Camper is not eligible to return, that credit is transferred to the Scholarship Fund.

Conduct Subject to Expulsion

Violence, bullying, theft, weapons, drugs or alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, vandalism, defiance or refusal to obey staff, leaving the lodge at night without permission, continued profanity, or conduct that threatens or endangers the Camper or another person may result in expulsion from Camp.

When a Camper May Be Sent Home

A Camper who continues to be disruptive, disrespectful or combative—or intentionally diminishes another person’s Camp experience—may be sent home if they are unable or unwilling to correct the behavior. Camp leadership handles these decisions carefully with the safety and well-being of the whole community in mind.
